Baseball is played between pitches
The ball is in play for minutes; the game lasts hours. What fills the gap — the walk back to the box, the breath on the mound, the reset after an error — decides far more than raw talent.
Three tools we teach every Slugger
A pre-pitch routine. Same glove tap, same breath, same look. Routines narrow attention to the next six seconds and crowd out the last mistake.
The reset cue. Every player picks a word or gesture — cap tug, baseline scratch — that marks the error as finished. The past stays in the past.
Process goals. Instead of "get a hit", our juniors aim for "see the ball, short swing". Controllables replace outcomes, and the outcomes follow.
